 Thematic days
VIRALITIES II. "AIDS crisis is still beginning" 21 & 22 March 2022

After a first series of study days devoted to the troubled relationship between the arts, information and pandemics, the Aix-en-Provence School of Art is returning to viralities on the occasion of the exhibition HIV/AIDS, the epidemic is not over at the Mucem in Marseilles, to question the topicality of the AIDS epidemic for contemporary thought and art. How have sexuality, pornography, our relationship to plants, the body, politics and theory been restructured by their encounter with HIV? These study days invite artists, activists & theorists to think together about what AIDS does to the arts. With Isabelle Alfonsi, Antonia Baehr, Emma Bigé, Sam Bourcier, Marie Canet, Jule Fierl, Paul-Emmanuel Odin, Benoît Piéron, François Piron, Lili Reynaud-Dewar, Régis Samba Kounzi and Ghita Skali.

HIV/AIDS, the epidemic is not over" open house

The exhibition "HIV/AIDS, the epidemic is not over" has opened its doors, and many of you came to discover it during our open house on Tuesday, December 14, where the exhibition's co-curators and a Sidaction donation stand were present.
Putting AIDS in the museum is not to bury it; on the contrary, it is to reaffirm its topicality, as shown by the title of the exhibition, which takes up a historic Act Up slogan: "The epidemic is not over!
